Some later varieties of Tikapa Moana Organic Orchard’s delicious plums have ripened earlier than expected and will be available this Sunday at the market, so I thought I’d share a fun breakfast dish highlighting this plentiful seasonal fruit. There will be plenty of plums this weekend at the market with a great variety of certified organic plums from Tikapa Moana Organic Orchard and Heirloom Organix, and spray free plums from George’s Garden.
8 small Plums (or 15-20 Italian “Prune” Plums)
1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil1½ Tbsp. Honey
6 small sprigs Fresh Thyme
¼ tsp. Flaky Sea Salt (such as Maldon)
freshly ground Black Pepper
1 loaf Seedy, Nutty Whole Grain Bread
